What you need to know...
SOLID BRASS
Our solid brass pieces are made from genuine brass - an alloy of copper and zinc.
Brass is a living material that naturally changes with age. Unlacquered brass will gradually deepen in colour and develop a unique patina through exposure to air, moisture and handling.
This natural ageing process is part of the character of genuine brass and is not considered a flaw or imperfection. No two pieces will age in exactly the same way.
The finish of each product will be specified on its individual product page.
Please note: Solid brass refers to the base material, not necessarily the finish. Some of our solid brass pieces are left unlacquered to allow the brass to naturally age, while selected pieces are lacquered to help protect the finish during use.
BRASS FINISH
Our brass finish is available in both unlacquered and lacquered forms, depending on the product.
Unlacquered brass is designed to naturally patina over time and can be polished to restore its original lustre.
Lacquered brass has a protective coating over the brass to help preserve its appearance and minimise tarnishing. Selected serving pieces, including some salad servers and cheese sets, feature a lacquered finish.
The product description will specify whether the brass finish is lacquered or unlacquered.
NICKEL & BLACK NICKEL
Nickel and black nickel finishes are applied over a solid brass base to create a refined brushed metallic finish.
Our nickel finishes have a soft, semi-matt appearance, while black nickel creates a deeper, darker metallic tone.
These finishes are designed to retain their character without the need for polishing.
As with all handcrafted pieces, subtle variations in tone, brushing and finish may occur.
POWDER-COATED METAL
Our powder-coated pieces are made from metal and finished with multiple layers of powder coating to create a durable and consistent surface.
Our powder-coated collection includes matt black and matt blush finishes, available across selected iron and stainless-steel pieces.
Because of the nature of a matt finish, subtle marks, fingerprints and surface variations may be more visible. These are normal characteristics of the finish.
A NOTE ON HANDCRAFTING
A majority of our pieces are crafted by hand. Subtle variations may therefore occur in the finish, brushing, plating, size and shape.
These variations are part of the character of individually crafted pieces and should not be considered imperfections.

UNLACQUERED BRASS
Unlacquered brass is intended to age naturally. Over time, the surface will develop a deeper and more individual patina.
For everyday care, simply wipe with a soft, dry microfiber cloth.
If you prefer to restore the original brightness of the brass, use a suitable brass polish sparingly and buff gently with a soft microfiber cloth. Remove all residue with a clean, dry cloth.
Do not use steel wool, scourers or harsh abrasive cleaners, as these can scratch the brushed brass surface.
Remember, polishing is optional. The natural patina is part of the beauty of unlacquered brass.

LACQUERED BRASS
Lacquered brass should not be polished.
The protective lacquer is designed to help preserve the appearance of the brass and reduce natural tarnishing.
For everyday care, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth.
For fingerprints, water spots or marks, use a soft cloth lightly dampened with warm water and a small amount of mild dishwashing soap. Wipe gently and dry thoroughly afterwards.
Do not use Brasso, brass polish, metal polish, vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, abrasive cleaners, scourers or steel wool.
These products can damage the protective lacquer and may permanently alter the colour or brushed finish.
Never buff or polish lacquered brass.

NICKEL & BLACK NICKEL
For everyday care, gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
For fingerprints, water spots or stubborn marks, use a soft cloth lightly dampened with warm water and a small amount of mild dishwashing soap. Wipe gently and dry immediately.
Do not use Brasso, metal polish, vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, abrasive cleaners, scourers or steel wool.
These products can damage the plated finish and alter the brushed appearance.
Avoid excessive rubbing, particularly on black nickel, as aggressive cleaning can affect the finish over time.

POWDER-COATED METAL
Wipe the surface with a soft, clean, damp cloth.
For stubborn marks, use warm water with a small amount of mild dishwashing soap. Wipe clean and dry thoroughly.
Do not use abrasive cleaning products, scourers, steel wool or harsh chemicals.
Avoid excessive rubbing, as this may affect the matt surface.
Due to the nature of a matt finish, some fingerprints, markings and minor surface variations may remain visible.

What you need to know...
Genuine, natural stone.
Every piece of marble is naturally unique. Variations in veining, colour, tone and pattern are to be expected.
Natural characteristics such as pitting, fissures, mineral deposits and small variations in the stone may be visible. These are not defects - they are part of what makes each piece unique.
No two pieces will ever be exactly the same.
Care for me...
Keep marble surfaces as dry as possible and wipe up spills promptly.
Wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. For more thorough cleaning, use warm water and a small amount of mild, pH-neutral soap.
Do not submerge marble in water.
Avoid harsh chemicals, acidic cleaners and abrasive cleaning products.
Food and liquids containing oils, acids and strong pigments may cause marking or discolouration if left on the surface for extended periods.
Avoid prolonged contact with substances such as lemon, vinegar, wine, coffee and oily foods.
Do not use sharp or abrasive objects directly on the surface, and always handle marble pieces with care to avoid chips, cracks or breakage.
Natural stone will develop subtle changes through use. These are part of its character and beauty.

What you need to know...
Our linen collection is made from natural flax fibres, selected for their softness, breathability and durability.
Linen naturally regulates body temperature, helping you stay cool in warmer weather and warm in cooler weather.
Our linen is stonewashed using real pumice stones, giving it its characteristic softness and relaxed feel from the very beginning.
Natural linen may contain subtle variations in texture, colour and weave. These are inherent characteristics of the fibre and contribute to its natural beauty.
Care for me...
Wash separately where possible.
Machine wash at 40°C using a mild detergent.
Avoid harsh bleaching agents and fabric softeners.
Line dry where possible, or tumble dry on a cool/gentle setting.
Linen naturally develops a relaxed, lived-in appearance. Ironing is not necessary - any creases will soften and relax naturally with use.
Make sure linen is completely dry before storing.
Store linen in a breathable environment and avoid sealing it in airtight plastic containers for extended periods.
